Cisco Releases Security Related Designation: INFOSEC
Cisco has recently released the Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professional title. A candidate achieves this title by passing four security-related exams (SECUR, CSPFA, CSVPN and CSIDS), in addition to holding a valid [url=http://www.cramsession.com/certifications/cisco/ccna.asp][color=#000000]CCNA[/color][/url] certification."In April 2003, the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) awarded Cisco a formal certification recognizing that Cisco security courseware meets the 4011 training standard. This standard is intended for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals responsible for the security oversight or management of critical networks. This formal NSA and CNSS certification gives Cisco the authority to recognize those candidates who have demonstrated that they have met this training standard."

Note this information from Cisco: "The list of required exams displays the exams currently available for registration. However, past and future versions of some of the same exams can be used to meet the exam requirements."
